EDUCATION
I went to High School in Shawnee, KS. I then moved on to the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS where I studied music, political science, religion, and anthropology, eventually receiving my Bachelor’s Degree. I met my wife and moved to Pittsburg, KS, where I decided to go back to college at the local Pittsburg State University, where I studied Graphic Design and Art and graduated with another Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Art and Graphic Design.
EXPERIENCE
I began my design career working with a new company in Fort Scott, KS where I was responsible for print and digital Graphic Design, Web Design, photography, and videography as well as some social media content. I later added two more companies owned by the same parent company to my workload, where I worked with a small marketing team to manage their content. I then moved to work for Leggett & Platt, Inc. in Carthage, MO and a Web Designer. I worked with a team of developers, copywriters, graphic designers, photographers, and project managers to create and update websites for L&P’s corporate portfolio of companies. Over the last several years, that role has expanded to include UX and UI design responsibilities as well.
PERSONAL LIFE
I currently live in the country, on the edge of the Kansas prairie and the Missouri Ozarks. My wife and I have a daughter and many animals that take up most of our free time. I enjoy attempting to build things in my free time and still enjoy hobby photography. I am an avid reader, enjoy lifting weights, and taking our dogs for walks.
